4 years of academic training - divided into 8 semesters of 6 months each.

6 Months of Internship training in the various departments as laid down by the Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai. |
| Admissions

Basic Qualification : A candidate applying for the BOT degree, should have passed the Higher Secondary (10 + 2), or an equivalent examination (as recognized by the Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University) with not less than 50% marks in Biology, Physics and Chemistry. |

Admissions are made through a common entrance examination conducted by the Tamilnadu government and as per the Government guidelines existing at the time of admissions. |

Admissions begin by the 15th of April each year, and the course commences by the 1st week of September. |
